October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and in honor of my dear friend Jen, who has been battling breast cancer this past year I decided to do a pink tablescape.
I wanted to find a pink table cloth, but with it being fall and everything, pink table cloths were impossible to find. So I went to Wal-Mart picked up a twin flat sheet for $3.00 bought some pink fabric dye and made my own pink table cloth, then I added a piece of sparkly tulle over the pink sheet
I have also been all over town to find some pink dishes and I finally found some with pink flowers @ TJ Maxx
I found these fushia napkins on the clearance rack @ Pier 1. I used wired ribbon and a silk flower for the napkin rings
They look pretty on the plates
I bought some pretty pink roses at the grocery store
Then I saw this little tutu I bought my niece and thought it would dress up the flowers
I was on the hunt for anything pink and I saw these pink disco ball ornaments I thought they would look pretty on the table.
Then I added candles and some sparkly stones and glasses of pink lemonade to the table
I discovered tutu's and candles do not go together, so I had to remove the tutu before I lit all the candles. Do I have too many candles? Is there such a thing as too many candles?
A view from the top...
This table was so much fun to do I just kept make changes all week long
Found some pink votive candles today
Thanks for stopping by and ladies please do everything you can do to save the Tatas!

This is one of the most creative tables I've seen. I love each of the pink details, but the tutu around the vase is precious. Too bad you had to change plans, but October is also fire safety month. LOL I'm sure your friend appreciated this beautiful table. Thank you for sharing your creative spirit with us.
It looks so pretty and special. I love all the candles lit in the center, just very beautiful....great job
Oooo, pink and all those candles! I love the change from without candles to candles - that's superb! Great job! I'm having a giveaway worth $175 you're GOING TO LOVE LOVE LOVE! Please stop by soon - it ends quick! Thanks for sharing, and inspiring! :)

Now, if this doesn't scream "GIRLIE," then I don't know what does. This is such a pretty table and I just love all of your pretty pinks! Thanks for sharing and happy TT to you!
I love your pinks! And it was fun to see all the changes -- even if the candles were tutu much! Not really -- love candleglow! Pretty pretty!
What a great table and idea; I am sure your friend, Jen, will be smiling when she hears that you did a table to honor her. Thanks for sharing.
Oh! so feminine. I love pink. The flower tutu was a great idea, may have to copycat for a girls tea I'm having later this month. Love the candles, they were beautiful.
This is so pretty in pink! I love how tablescapes evolve like that. How lovely that your friend Jen was the inspiration for your tablescape.

This is my favorite you have done - I absolutely love the tutu on the vase - excellent idea!! I am sure Gabby is grateful you took it off before it caught fire. I can tell you are obsessed now. You inspire me!! Love you.
Oh, the tutu was just perfect. I am going to remember that one...with candles a safe distance!
Oh what fun to see your pink table evolve like this. I really enjoyed all your great ideas to accessorize it all. It looks fabulous!!
Oh, how very nice to see some pretty pinkness! Quite clever using the sheet for your tablecloth. Your dishes are so pretty - they even look antique. Now I love candles and the more the merrier! I love your romantic table.
Be a sweetie,

Hi Tracey! I am just a spectator who aspires to play along someday, but I want to comment on your tablescape today!... Your table looks FABULOUS! I LOVE that had a good cause in mind, and put this all together as beautifully as you did! I LOVE IT!.. And no, I don't think you can possibly use TOO MANY candles! (0; Best wishes to your friend Jen.. ~tina
how did you turn into a blogging celebrity over night? lol
Love the pink tablescape...you'll have to do a tablescape on my table when you guys come up for cookiepalooza!!
Oooh fun! I can't wait. Start looking for some things for your table, like Christmas plates or just maybe red or green plates to add to what you already have. I can just tell you I'm pretty much obsessed with dishes right now. TJ Max, Ross, Marshalls & Homegoods are my new best friends!
What a pretty table! The pink is perfect for October...and the tutus were too cute! You're right, the table is very versatile! Thanks for sharing!
Wow do I ever love this!! I never thought I would love all that pink but it was awesome. And I loved the tutu!! I missed it when you removed it....I mean who cares about a little fire lol

How clever, and so pretty in pink!! Love the tutu! Everything sure came together so well! Isn't it fun when that happens!

What a lovely table. Love the tutu idea & hate that it's a fire hazard. Those martini glasses are nice too!
