Pink Tablescape for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and in honor of my dear friend Jen, who has been battling breast cancer this past year I decided to do a pink tablescape.

I wanted to find a pink table cloth, but with it being fall and everything, pink table cloths were impossible to find.  So I went to Wal-Mart picked up a twin flat sheet for $3.00 bought some pink fabric dye and made my own pink table cloth, then I added a piece of sparkly tulle over the pink sheet

I have also been all over town to find some pink dishes and I finally found some with pink flowers @ TJ Maxx

I found these fushia napkins on the clearance rack @ Pier 1.  I used wired ribbon and a silk flower for the napkin rings

They look pretty on the plates

I bought some pretty pink roses at the grocery store

Then I saw this little tutu I bought my niece and thought it would dress up the flowers

I was on the hunt for anything pink and I saw these pink disco ball ornaments I thought they would look pretty on the table.

Then I added candles and some sparkly stones and glasses of pink lemonade to the table

I discovered tutu's and candles do not go together, so I had to remove the tutu before I lit all the candles.  Do I have too many candles?  Is there such a thing as too many candles?

A view from the top...

This table was so much fun to do I just kept make changes all week long

Found some pink votive candles today

Thanks for stopping by and ladies please do everything you can do to save the Tatas!

to see lots more beautiful tablescapes.  Thank you Susan for hosting Tablescape Thursday!

This is one of the most creative tables I've seen. I love each of the pink details, but the tutu around the vase is precious. Too bad you had to change plans, but October is also fire safety month. LOL I'm sure your friend appreciated this beautiful table. Thank you for sharing your creative spirit with us.

Oh! so feminine. I love pink. The flower tutu was a great idea, may have to copycat for a girls tea I'm having later this month. Love the candles, they were beautiful.

Oh, how very nice to see some pretty pinkness! Quite clever using the sheet for your tablecloth. Your dishes are so pretty - they even look antique. Now I love candles and the more the merrier! I love your romantic table.
Be a sweetie,

Oooh fun! I can't wait. Start looking for some things for your table, like Christmas plates or just maybe red or green plates to add to what you already have. I can just tell you I'm pretty much obsessed with dishes right now. TJ Max, Ross, Marshalls & Homegoods are my new best friends!

What a lovely table. Love the tutu idea & hate that it's a fire hazard. Those martini glasses are nice too!
